Joyce Meyer Devotional for the Day :GOD IS FAITHFUL
1 Corinthians 1:9 (NKJV) God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
We could stop with the first three words of this verse and have all that we need to be victorious! GOD IS FAITHFUL! What a true statement. We have seen it over and over in our lives. So many times we think something is not going to work, or we think something is going to get worse not better, and then it just comes together. Sometimes it comes together so smoothly that we do not even notice it!
God is faithful. He is the Creator, and if we can ever get into our minds that He is responsible for us, it will take so much weight off of us. Think about it. God has to provide food, not just for all of the humans on earth, but also for all the animals and all the fish and all the insects. Do you kind of get the idea? Yet He does it in such a way that we do not even think about it!
Every day we have assurance that the sun will rise and set, that there will be air to breathe, that it will rain, that night will come, and that we can sleep. We need to put more faith in knowing that if God does all of these huge things every day, He will take care of all of the other things in our lives.
Our Father does not want us worrying and trying to figure everything out. He wants us to live a life of faith in Him and all that He does. If He took care of one thing, He will take care of all things! Jesus said it like this in Matthew 6:26, “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
So today, LOOK AT THE BIRDS! God takes care of them, and because He is faithful, He will take care of you!
Confession: My Heavenly Father is faithful! He has taken care of me for all these years, and He will not let me down now. I trust Him today with my life, and I know that just like He takes care of the birds, He will take care of me!
