OUR GOD IS MIGHTY

1 Samuel 5:2-4 (NKJV) When the Philistines took the ark of God, they brought it into the temple of Dagon and set it by Dagon. 3 And when the people of Ashdod arose early in the morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of the LORD. So they took Dagon and set it in its place again. 4 And when they arose early the next morning, there was Dagon, fallen on its face to the ground before the ark of the LORD. The head of Dagon and both the palms of its hands were broken off on the threshold; only Dagon’s torso was left of it.

There is no God but our God.  When these Philistines tried to place the Ark of the Covenant next to their false god, look what happened.  Dagon, their god, fell and got chopped up.  This is a good picture of what is going to happen to all the false religions, and the false gods of this world.  They cannot stand next to Almighty God, the Creator of heaven, earth, and everything else.

Almighty God spoke a Word, and the earth appeared.  He gave a command, and the waters separated.  He spoke, and the animals, birds, and fish all came into being.  Yet when He created man, it was so different.  The Bible says in Genesis 2:7, “And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.”  Man was the most special of all created things.  God placed within man His very own breath.

When this world tries to tell us that we are worthless, and that when we die we go to “nothing land,” just laugh, look them in the eye and say, “No, I am created in the image of my Father God!”  Every lie that the devil has used in all these years, from humanism to evolution, will all bow their knee to Jesus on the day that God has chosen.

So just like how this false god fell to the ground and got chopped up, so will all the demonic works be destroyed that man has perpetrated on this earth in trying to say that there is no God.  I declare today, “Jesus is Lord, and He is God of all!  One day soon, He will set up His throne, and it is going to be a great day!”

CONFESSION: Our God is a mighty God, and He reigns in heaven above.  One day soon, Jesus is going to set up His kingdom.  I am going to stay busy doing His work on the earth.
