Psalms 91:14-16 (AMP) Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness—trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never]. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.
We have come to the last few verses of Psalm 91. These three verses are where God speaks to us. He wants us to know that He has set His love upon us. God loves us, not because we deserve it, but simply because He is love! His love for us is received by grace, through faith. When we realize His love is unconditional, unchanging, and eternal, we can rest in that love.
It says in the next part of this passage that He will set us on high. The interesting thing is the part that follows: Because we know and understand His Name, and have a personal knowledge of His mercy, love and kindness. The more you discover by personal knowledge of God’s great love, the more you realize it is all Him. It is all a gift, and His love for us is because He is LOVE. Knowing that gives us the ability to trust and rely on Him, knowing He will never forsake us, no never!
So we can boldly say, “We are greatly blessed, highly favored, and deeply loved!” He hears our prayers, and He answers us! It is always so amazing to me that, at times, I have doubted whether God hears prayer, and yet His promise over and over throughout the Word is not just that He hears, but that He answers us! He is concerned for us, and He watches over us. He loves us!
I absolutely love the last part: With long life He satisfies us and shows us His salvation!

I call upon Him and He answers me. He is with me in trouble, and He delivers and honors me. With long life He satisfies me and shows me His salvation.
