Psalm 31:24 (NKJV) Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD.
Our God is the One who strengthens us. He is the One who makes sure that all things work out. He is the One who cannot be moved in His love and goodness to us. As you read the Word of God, every time you see a scripture that talks about Who God is, what He has, and what He can do, underline it or write it in your journal. You will see the goodness of the Lord!
We can be of good courage, as this verse says, because our God, our Heavenly Father, cannot lie. If He said something in His Word we need to trust and believe Him, just like we would believe the word of a trusted friend. Our God is there for us and wants the very best for our lives. And the amazing thing is that He knows what is best for us!
As we stand in courage, and as we declare what His Word declares, we see a connection that brings the answers to these great and exceeding promises that He has given us. Too often, we look to the natural and we sink, just like Peter when he was walking on water. He walked on the water until he saw the wind and the waves, and then fear got in, and he began to sink. Think about that. He was walking on water! As much as we want to pick on Peter about sinking, I have never walked on water. How about you?
Today, do not look at the things of this world. Look to God and His Word. Hold on to what He has declared, and see the promises of God fulfilled in your life. Again, God is not a man that He should lie. If He promised us these things from His Word, He will do them. So be of good courage! God is in control.
Confession: My God is in control. He is in control of my todays and my tomorrows, so I know that everything is going to work out for the good. If God is for me, who can be against me?
