DON’T CLOG YOUR PIPES

Mark 11:25-26 (NKJV) And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. 26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Forgiveness is a word that we do not always want to hear, yet we see from the Word of God that it is the key to answered prayer.  When we live in unforgiveness, it closes the blessings of God in our lives.  You see, Jesus said it so clearly, that if God was willing to forgive us of a debt that we could never pay back, a debt that is huge, then He expects us to be willing to forgive others also.

I remember hearing a man of God talking about a vision he had.  He saw a pipe coming down from heaven, and from the top he could see water being pumped into the pipe at the force of a fire hydrant at full blast.  But then he saw that at the bottom of the pipe, the part where he was at, the water was a trickle.  He asked God what this meant, and the Lord revealed to Him that He is pouring out His blessings upon us (which is the water being poured out like a fire hydrant), but His people are so filled with unforgiveness, and little petty things, that the pipe was getting clogged.

He showed him that it was the little foxes that spoil the vine, and that God’s people are not necessarily committing big sins, but letting little sins clog them up.  Things like when we talk about each other and put each other down, or when we are not walking in the commandment of love and not releasing people that have done us wrong.  It is like letting little particles fill up our spiritual pipes, one grain at a time.

Well, what we need is a “spiritual roto-rooter” in our lives.  We need the power of God to flush these things from us.  We need to forgive others, and release people from the debt that we have held against them.  Do not let unforgiveness hold you back from doing all that God wants you to do.  To God this is huge, so it should be to us!  Forgive others today, and you will be blessed.

CONFESSION:  I make a decision today to forgive ______________ of what they have done to me.  I will not let these sins clog my life any longer.
