I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE

Hebrews 8:12 (NKJV) For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.

When you read a verse like this, you have to come to the place where you say, “Well I did not say it, God my Father did, so I am just going to believe it!”

Listen to the heart of the Father.  “I will be merciful to their unrighteousness.”  God is a God of mercy.  He did not send Jesus to condemn us, He sent Jesus to set us free!  (John 3:16-17)   We were already condemned because of Adam’s transgression, but now, because of Jesus, we are accepted in Him!

In John 1:17 it says, “For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”  Grace and truth!  That is what Jesus brought and gave to everyone who will receive it.  I do not know about you, but I receive it!

When we read the second part of Hebrews 8:12, we again see a verse that, in our minds, seems so unreal.  But if God said it, I believe it, and that settles it.  It says, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

Did you notice that?  He will remember them no more!  So, if God chooses to forget them and forgive me of them, why do I need to remember them?  We should do ourselves a big favor and forget them, just as God does.  As far as the east is from the west, that is how far He forgets them.  So we should do the same!

I have found that when I keep bringing up my mistakes and faults, it just brings me into more condemnation.  My Father God does not want that for me.  So today, let it go!  Ask Him to forgive you, and then move on with the assurance of this verse.

Confession: My Heavenly Father has forgiven me of all my sins.  He does not remember them anymore.  Since He has forgotten them, I am not going to bring them up. Today, I am a new creation and old things are passed away!
