GOD OUR PROVIDER

Exodus 13:21-22 (NKJV) And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so as to go by day and night. 22 He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day or the pillar of fire by night from before the people.

Wherever you look throughout the Bible, you always see God as the Provider.  He provided here for the children of Israel as they were leaving Egypt, and all throughout their journey in the wilderness.  God, our Heavenly Father, is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  If He provided the light and heat that the children of Israel would need, He will provide for our needs today in the twenty-first century.

Things might be a little different today than they were back then, but overall, we still need the same things.  We need a roof over our heads, food, water, and clothes to wear, and our loving Father provides all of these for us.

I know as an earthly father with limited resources, I want the very best for my children.  I do not want them walking around with holes in their shoes, I do not want them to be hungry, and I do not want them to sleep outside where the rain will fall on them and they could get cold and sick.  No!  I want them to sleep on a nice soft bed with covers to keep them warm.  I want them to wake up to a good breakfast and nice clothes to wear.

If I care this much for my children and I want the very best for them, could I possibly think that my Heavenly Father would want any less for me?  No!  And I say it again with a big NO!  Our God will move the sun and moon if He has to for us.  He only asks for one thing, believe!

So today, see your Heavenly Father for Who He is: a loving Father who wants to provide for His children.  As you see Him this way, believe that He will be the Provider in your life.

Confession: Today, I see My Heavenly Father as my Provider.  I see Him as the Bible shows Him to be: a Father who provides all the best for His kids, and I am one of His!
