NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM HIS LOVE

Romans 8:38-39 (NLT) And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God’s love is truly amazing.  We sometimes try to understand God’s love with our human mind, but we cannot.  His love is exceedingly and abundantly more than we can think or imagine.  That is why I believe that the Bible says that we walk by faith and not by sight. There is absolutely nothing that can separate us from His love.

We, as humans, have a love that goes like this: “You do good to me and I will do good to you.  You help me and I will help you.”  But that is not how God’s love works.  His love is an all-giving love.  He loved us before we ever loved Him.  Unless we start seeing this great love, and accepting how much He cares for us, we will never partake of all His divine blessings.

It is like a man who lives a poor life, and then after he dies they find out that he had a fortune.  He could have been living really well.  He could have eaten the best foods and dressed in the best clothes, but because of not knowing, or plain ignorance, he missed out on it all.

Many times we, as Christians, miss out on all that God, our loving Father, has for us.  We do not take time to read the Word, and then we say things about God that are not true.  We say, “Well, I guess God put this on me because I was bad,” or “He’s trying to teach me something with all these accidents I have had.”

No!  God wants to help you get out of the mess that life, or the devil, has brought on you.  All we have to do to start enjoying these great benefits is to believe everything the Bible says about Him.

CONFESSION: I choose today to believe what the Bible says about my Heavenly Father.  He is a good Father who loves me dearly.  He is always looking out for my best interest.
