GOD MADE US

1 Corinthians 15:10 (NKJV) But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

Each one of us has been given unique gifts from God our Father, and we are to use them as He sees fit.  Here the apostle Paul tells us that he is what he is by the grace of God, and it is the same for you and me.  We each have been blessed by the Father with the ability to be a blessing to others in our sphere of influence.

Whatever we have been given, we need to give away.  You might say, Pastor, what does that mean?  Well, what it means is to whom much is given much is required.  You see, our lives are most blessed when we are a blessing.  Our lives are most fulfilled when we get out of ourselves and look for ways to be a blessing to others.

I am so glad that the apostle Paul said yes to use all that God had given him. Without Paul, we would not have all the epistles in the Bible that we have.  And I believe that it is the same with us.  I have been called to pastor, and I need to use that gift that God, my Father, has put within me.  As Paul said in 1 Corinthians 9:16, “Woe to me if I do not preach the Gospel.”  That should be how we all live!

What is the gift that God has given you?  Maybe it is a creative gifting, or you have a way of making someone feel special, or the ability to cook, or even clean.  Each of our gifts can be so practical, and yet can be a blessing to someone around us.

So take some time to be quiet with your Heavenly Father and see what He has blessed you with.  Then ask Him how you can use this gift to help someone else.  You never know how God will use that gift, but when He does, it will bless someone else and bring such fulfillment within you!

Confession:  Today, I am going to take a little time and see what my Father has placed within me.  As I see the giftedness that is in me, I am going to use it for His honor and glory.
