HE CAN KEEP YOU

Jude 1:24-25 (NKJV) Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25 to God our Savior, Who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

Wow!  What a way to end a letter, “Now to Him Who can keep you from stumbling and to present you faultless.”   When Jesus did a work in us, it was not a half-work, but a complete work.  He is the One Who will keep us, as the Amplified Bible says, from stumbling, slipping, or falling.  That is a pretty good promise, right?

You see, when we look to ourselves, we see faults and mistakes, but when we look to Jesus, we see perfection and grace.  The amazing thing is that when God sees us, He sees us in Jesus.  He sees us the way that He sees His perfect Son.  That is why this scripture states that He can keep us from falling.

Too many times, we try to live this Christian life in our own strength, and when we do, we mess up.  But when we look to His grace and His goodness, then it empowers us to live an overcoming life.  Jesus has conquered it all, and He did not do it for Himself.  He is already victorious.  He conquered for us!  He was beaten with a whip so that we can have the victory.  He was nailed to the cross so that we can be overcomers.  Jesus took all the bad so that we can get all the good!

Our identification is not in ourselves, but we identify with Christ.  You see, the Scripture says that greater is He that is in us than He that is in the world.  So do not look at your shortcomings; look to Jesus!  Look to His strength!  Look to His conquering power!  When you do, you will say, like the Apostle Paul said, that it is “Christ in us, the hope of glory.”  Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world!

CONFESSION: Today, I look to Jesus, and He keeps me from falling.  Today, I look to His grace and not my ability, and it gives me the power to be a world overcomer!
