Joyce Meyer Devotional for the Day :MY REDEEMER LIVES
Job 19:25-27 (NLTSE) But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives,
and he will stand upon the earth at last. 26 And after my body has decayed,
yet in my body I will see God! 27 I will see him for myself. Yes, I will see him with my own eyes. I am overwhelmed at the thought!
I know that my Redeemer lives, and His name is Jesus! One day, if the Lord Jesus does not return and I pass away, this flesh will decay. But, as Job said, we will see Him again in this flesh, and this thought overwhelmed Job. Let me tell you, it overwhelms me also!
To think that death has no power over a child of God. That yes, this flesh might decay and go back into the ground, but when He returns, my body will be resurrected and I will see Him in this flesh. Amazing! Truly amazing! Think of what He is saying here. That every one of our friends and loved ones that are in Christ, who have gone before us, we will see again, in this flesh!
What a day of rejoicing and celebration that is going to be. No more fear of death, or darkness, or what might come against us. No! We will be in our new bodies, and we will see Him as He is. We will see Him in all of His glory; high and lifted up; the King of kings and Lord of lords. I yearn for this day, how about you?
As we see where our world is going, we can see very clearly that this day is very close upon us. I challenge you today to put God first. Give Jesus everything, not just the leftovers. You will never regret it. Throughout all eternity we will be singing His praises as we see Him with our redeemed eyes. We will be touching Him with our redeemed hands, and singing to Him with our redeemed mouth. Oh my, what a day it is going to be!
Confession: Today, I give it all to Jesus. Today I give Him 100% of my life. One day, I will see Him and receive my newly redeemed body. What a day it is going to be! Thank You Lord, for doing it all for me. Now I give it all to You.
