Joyce Meyer Devotional for the Day :JESUS IS FAITHFUL AND TRUE
Revelation 19:11-16 (NKJV) Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. 14 And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
What an amazing portion of scripture! It gives us a little view of what is going to be happening soon. Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords (and we are those kings and lords), will come back to this earth and get things in order. We also see that we, as the army in heaven, will be coming with Him, and helping to bring His rule on this earth.
It says that His robe is dipped in blood, and we know that blood to be His very own! It is His blood that saved us and redeemed us! It is through His blood that we overcome and are victorious! He, Jesus, is the Faithful and True One. It is all about Him! For a million years we will still be singing His praise! I love the last part of the song Amazing Grace:
When we’ve been here ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun.
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’ve first begun.
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
So today, look to Jesus! Look to His Grace. Look to the One who is faithful and true. He will never let you down!
CONFESSION: Jesus is faithful and true to me. He has redeemed me by His blood, and I know that my life is in His hand.
